You can’t miss it — literally. The castle dominates the skyline and the history books. Walk the ramparts, explore the royal chambers, and soak in views across the Ochil Hills.
Top tip: Go early or late to avoid the coach tours.

🗼 The Wallace Monument

A short drive or a healthy climb from the city centre, this tower honours William Wallace (yes, that one). Inside you’ll find exhibits, swords, and a steep spiral staircase to the top.
Bonus: The view’s worth the steps — especially at sunset.

🥾 Walk the Back Walk

This historic path loops around the old town walls, passing viewpoints, graveyards, and hidden gardens. It’s peaceful, steeped in history, and right on your doorstep.
Start point: King’s Park or near the castle gate.

🎓 Visit Stirling University

If you’re here for graduation or visiting a student, the campus is one of the most scenic in the UK. There’s a loch, sculpture trail, art gallery and café — not your average uni.
